CareSTL Health is seeking an experienced Senior Human Resources Generalist to join our Talent and Culture team. 

In this role, you will be responsible for developing solutions focused on a broad range of talent management programs and initiatives to strengthen talent and maximize the success of CareSTL Health. This includes but is not limited to On-Boarding, Performance Management, Succession Planning, Talent Pool/Pipeline Management, Change Management, Human Resource Planning (HRP), Career Pathing, Talent Data Management, and Employee Engagement.



  • Assists the CHRO with implementing the health center's mission and strategic plan.
  • Assists HR Directors in the daily operation of the department.
  • Provides support to the HR Directors and/or CHRO as it relates to the roll out of HR initiatives, coordination of special projects and performs other duties as assigned.

  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.


  • Develops and manages proactive recruitment strategy that includes use of multiple mediums to include social media (i.e., Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, etc.), community partnerships, college recruitment, professional organizations, employee referrals, publications and career fairs to attract talent.
  • Coordinates recruitment compliance audits and other reporting requirements (including governmental required filings) under the direction of the Director of Talent and Culture.
  • Maintains updated recruitment procedures in HR Protocols. Ensures proper internal controls are in place.  
  • Handles full-cycle recruitment.  
  • Prepares and/or runs weekly/monthly routine and adhoc reports (i.e., Recruitment, New Hire, Time-to-Fill, etc.) utilizing AAIM, Paychex and/or Excel.  
  • Responds to employee and management inquires regarding policies, procedures and programs.

 Talent & Performance Management:

  • Support the development of job descriptions, analyze jobs and conduct job evaluations.
  • Manage CareSTL Health Talent & Performance Management systems and processes including performance management, development plans, talent reviews and succession planning.
  • Develop training, documentation and any needed support tools/guidelines to provide continuous reinforcement of the processes.
  • Partner with HR Operations Analytics to measure the effectiveness of our processes and recommend solutions for driving improvement in building our talent pipeline.
  • Advise and consult with leadership on talent and performance management, organizational capability building, and career development initiatives.  
  • Facilitate performance management training to managers and employees to ensure knowledge of employee review process including setting development plans and goals.  
  • Prepares and/or runs weekly/monthly routine and adhoc reports (i.e., Performance Management, etc.) utilizing Paychex and/or Excel.

 Learning and Development:

  • Support key strategic priorities and timelines related to learning & development and talent management.
  • Initiate and deliver an eLearning platform that supports and encompasses CareSTL Health's objective for learning & development and continuing education.
  • Provide key support to all managers on coaching and mentoring, and employee engagement.
  • Develop, guide, and coach teams on roll out and ongoing processes of HR programs, handbook policies and strategies and ensure team awareness.
  • Partner with management teams to implement interdepartmental training.
  • Participate in management meetings and leadership roundtables; facilitate quarterly team meeting.

 Employee Engagement:

  • Support engagement initiatives in partnership with leadership to foster a positive employee experience to drive engagement, growth and development opportunities, and retention of talent.  
  • Support the Employee Satisfaction Survey by assisting with results reporting, action planning and follow-up activities.



  • Bachelor's degree in Business, HR, Organizational Development, or related field. Master's degree is preferred.


  • Minimum 5 plus years of experience in Talent Management preferably in a healthcare environment including talent acquisition, on-boarding and engagement, learning & development, organization development, performance management, succession planning, and workforce planning.
  • Experience in building and managing infrastructure and training programs where change is constant.
  • Experience working within a matrix organization; track record of successfully collaborating cross-functionally with teams.
  • Experience and proficiency launching and/or working with Learning Management Systems.
  • Experience evaluating, selecting, and implementing Learning Management Software, and virtual learning course design.


  • Must have a valid Driver's License and Reliable Transportation
