CareSTL Health has immediate openings for Temporary Nurse Practitioners to participate in the delivery of healthcare services as an assistant or extender to the primary care physician. 


  • Reviews the work records and practices of the health care delivered at least every two weeks with the collaborating physician
  • Delivers health care services and treatments
  • Administers, dispenses, and prescribes drugs as delegated by the physician
  • Provides after-hours coverage for urgent health care problems for health center patients on a rotational on-call basis
  • Participates in the health center's Performance Improvement program
  • Assists in the formulation and implementation of the health center's health care plan
  • Practices Evidence Based Medicine
  • Regularly completes documentation in the electronic health record for patients seen
  • Completes and signs encounter note(s) within 24-48 hours
  • Orders Lab test(s) in the electronic health record
  • Reviews and signs/dates lab test results daily, both in electronic health record and printed results when indicated.
  • Reviews and signs/dates radiology reports daily
  • Follows recall policy for abnormal tests

 A Successful Candidate:

  • Able to utilize current texts, professional standards, and other resources appropriate for management and treatment to serve as guidelines for care.
  • Effective clinical and communication skills
  • Ability to work well in a team setting with collaborating physician


  • Graduate from an accredited school of APN required
  • Licensed to practice in the state of Missouri as Nurse Practitioner required


  • A minimum of 2 years of experience required
  • Current CPR Certification required
    • Other:  Must have reliable transportation
