CareSTL Health has the following openings: 

  • Registered Medical Assistant: Maintains annual registration with American Medical Technologists (AMT) & Graduate of an accredited school of Medical  Assistant
  • Medical Assistant II: Graduate of an accredited school of Medical Assistant

Duties:

  • Prepare patient for examination and assist provider with exam and procedure as needed
  • Conduct patient intake and discharge according to policy and procedure to ensure the best health outcome for our patients and their families
  • Collect all forms accompanying patient and verify patient demographics
  • Prep chart accurately take age appropriate vital signs
  • Obtain and process specimens for transport to the lab
  • Perform simple wound care and dressing changes
  • Assist provider with complex dressing changes
  • Administers injections as ordered by the provide
  • Administer nebulizer treatments as ordered
  • Clean and decontaminate and set up the exam rooms
  • Administer peak flow meter test for respiratory assessment
  • Cleanse and decontaminate re-usable equipment for autoclave sterilization
  • Conduct patient tracking, and recall regarding abnormal tests
  • Assist with medical emergencies as instructed (e.g. CPR, First aid)
  • Perform all other related assigned duties

Education:

  • Copy of High School Diploma or GED
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Medical Assistant

Experience:

  • 1-2 yrs of experience working in a Community Health Center/or Physician Office setting preferred

Additional Eligibility Qualification Requirements:

  • Current Registration with the Missouri Family Care Safety Registry
  • Copy of High School Diploma or GED
  • Annual PPD or Chest X-Ray
  • Copy of Current CPR Certificate
  • Must have reliable transportation
