CareSTL Health seeks full-time Registered Nurses responsible to the Department Director, and is to be clinically competent; delivers care to patients utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation; and effectively interacts with patient, significant others, and other health team members while maintaining standards of professional nursing.



  • Directs and supervises less skilled nursing/healthcare personnel, or supervises a particular unit on one shift.
  • Prepares patients for, and assist with, examinations and treatments.
  • Assesses the needs of individuals, families and/or communities, including assessment of individuals' home and/or work environments to identify potential health or safety problems.
  • Instructs individuals, families and other groups on topics such as health education, disease prevention and childbirth, and develop health improvement programs.
  • Prepares rooms, sterilizes instruments, equipment/supplies, and ensures that stock of supplies are maintained.
  • Administers oral, inhalation, intravenous, intramuscular, intradermal and other routes.
  • Conducts specified laboratory tests as directed in CareSTL Health's Policies and Procedures for Standing Orders under the direction of a physician.
  • Directs and coordinates infection control programs, advising and consulting with specified personnel about necessary precautions.
  • Provides or arrange for training/instruction of auxiliary personnel and community stakeholders.
  • Refers patients to specialized health resources or community agencies.
  • Consults with institutions or associations regarding issues and concerns relevant to the practice and the profession of nursing.
  • Works with individuals, groups, and families to plan and implement programs designed to improve the overall health of communities' outcomes.
  • Communicates with all staff, patients, and families with excellent written and verbal skills.


A Successful Candidate:

  • Demonstrated working knowledge of nursing theory, techniques, principles, and practice in order to holistically care for patients
  • Knowledge of information and techniques in providing excellent patient care
  • Knowledge of administrative and office procedures and systems such as electronic transmission via facsimile and/or  internet
  • Good computer skills including the use of office procedures and terminology
  • Good self-motivational and organizational skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to work all health center sites



  • Education:  Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing required
    • Valid registration as a Registered Nurse in the State of Missouri required
    • Current AHA Healthcare Provider training (BCLS) required
    • Current CPR Certification required
  • Experience: 1-2 yrs of experience in a Community Health Center
  • Other:  Must have reliable transportation.
