CareSTL Health seeks a Manager of Facilities responsible to ensure the routine operation, maintenance, and safety of all owned, leased, or otherwise managed facilities. The Manager of Facilities is further responsible to plan, direct, and monitor the activities of assigned staff and to develop and monitor the department budget.

 

Duties:

  • Ensures the routine maintenance and operation of all building systems e.g. heating, air conditioning, ventilation, boiler, etc.
  • Develops, implements, and monitors a facility improvement master plan to include a deferred maintenance schedule, and on-going facility improvement plan for all owned and/or operated facilities.
  • Ensures that all owned or operated facilities meet all Federal, State and local regulatory requirements and environmental health standards.
  • Implements energy efficiency and cost-effectiveness measures to increase operational value of physical plant locations.
  • Ensures the routine adherence to all OSHA guidelines and rules with respect to the handling of bio-hazardous waste
  • Administers asset management program to provide real-time information and analysis of supplies and materials on-hand.
  • Inspects new construction, repair work, renovation projects, equipment, work orders, etc., to ensure that jobs are completed efficiently, and that specifications for all improvements are within local, state, and federal regulations
  • Hires, trains, leads, and evaluates staff; provides positive reinforcement and recognition, and provides discipline and corrective action as necessary
  • Performs general support activities and carries out special projects, and other assignments as required.

Qualifications:

  • Education:  Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Facilities Management, Building Construction, Engineering, Architecture or related field with five years of progressively responsible management experience in plant/facilities management; a Professional Engineer (PE) license in Missouri is preferred. Formal education may be substituted for significant experience.
  • Experience:  3-4 years of experience in facility operations, facility management, and construction project management, general construction, or related experience.
  • Other: 
    • Must have reliable transportation.
