CareSTL Health seeks a Director of Operations responsible for ensuring the successful day-to-day operations and delivery of both clinical and non-clinical services across all owned and/or operated heath center locations. The Director will be primarily responsible for ensuring patient satisfaction and overseeing the operational efficiency and quality of clinic services at all site locations.



  • Monitors and ensures that clinical and operational performance goals are maintained across the organization. Works with clinical management to optimize staffing, appointment scheduling, workflows, and policies and procedures as needed to meet goals
  • Responsible for ensuring an excellent patient experience and that patient complaints and grievances are addressed and resolved in a timely and responsive manner
  • Responsible to develop, review and update policies, procedures, process improvement, training, and evaluation metrics that help support efficient clinic workflows, productivity, quality improvement and customer service
  • Create, analyze and present data and reports as relevant to clinic operations
  • Develop and monitor program goals and objectives, including clinical visits, outreach numbers, and referrals from outreach to clinical services
  • Responsible for creating, updating and maintaining policies and procedures related to clinical operations
  • Responsible for ensuring compliance with rules and regulations that impact clinic operations, including participation in audits and the development and implementation of Corrective Action Plans
  • Ensure communication of goals, objectives, policies, and procedures both up and down the chain of command through meetings, huddles and other forms of communication
  • Responsible for patient recruitment and managing patient retention initiatives
  • Successfully hires, trains, leads, and evaluates staff; provides positive reinforcement and recognition; and implements corrective actions as necessary
  • Provides leadership oversight to all event planning and outreach activities, and is responsible to develop and publish an annual outreach planning calendar (12 month) inclusive of event objectives, goals, cost, potential collaborations, etc  
  • Identifies and creates new community partnerships and collaboration opportunities
  • Performs general support activities and carries out special projects, and other assignments as required

  • Knowledge of effective management practices and principles
  • Effective collaboration and negation skills
  • Advanced computer software navigation skills



  • Education:  Minimum of a Bachelors Degree in Health Administration, Business Administration, Human Services, Marketing and Communications; Masters degree in Business Administration, Public Health, or Public Administration preferred.
  • Experience: 3-4 years of experience in community based health center, or related program operations preferred.
  • Other: 
    • Must have reliable transportation.
